Choosing the images for your wedding album

You probably have hundreds of pictures.  I know it can be a daunting task to try to choose only a small portion of these for your wedding album!

The images need to tell the story of the day and not appear too crowded. The biggest design sin is cramming too many photos into the album! Flush mount wedding albums have a maximum page limit of about 60 sides before they get too thick and heavy.  But a 60 side designed wedding album can only hold around 175 images at the very most.

However, the most popular wedding albums are 30-40 sides. For these albums you need to limit the number of images to between 70 to 120 images.

We can help you choose the best images for your wedding album design!

Let us help you. Do the best that you can and send your images to us.  If you have trouble choosing the images you can go ahead and send your entire wedding to us. We will take care of choosing the best images for the album.

The Wedding Album Design Style

There are two primary design styles: Modern Album Design and Classic Album Design

Modern Wedding Album Design style uses image backgrounds.   The background images are often manipulated a bit by changing their opacity. This just means that the background images are lightened up so that they are a little transparent. Adding opacity to the background images makes the rest of the images on the page really stand out. Modern Album Design styles also uses more effects like fading and blending of the images.

But you don’t have to worry about the technical details. We take care of everything and make it super easy for you!

In fact, our designers are right here in the USA and all have been working for us for over 10 years! So, you are sure to get an incredible wedding album design with no stress.

Alternatively, you can choose our classic album design style.

Classic Album Design style generally has black or white backgrounds. The background color is usually consistent throughout the whole album. The images are arranged on the pages to tell the story with limited fading and effects. This design style is incredibly elegant and the focus is on artistically arranging the photos to tell your wedding story.

The classic album design style often uses thin pin line frames on the images.

After you place your order we will send you a DropBox folder so that you can easily upload your wedding images to you. Do your best to send us the images that you want included in the wedding album, or let our design team choose the best photos that tell the story of the day.

In about 3-5 business days the first draft of your wedding album design will be ready for you to review. You will receive a slideshow of your album design that has a mockup of your album cover, along with all of the designed pages in the album. You can then place comments, feedback, and revision requests on each page of the slideshow. When you are done reviewing the design, just click submit to send the feedback back to our design team.

We will be in touch if we have any questions about your feedback. Your designer will get back to work and make the requested changes. This usually takes 1-3 days.

Then, you will get the revisions in a new slide show.

More revision requests? No problem! We will keep working until you are 100% thrilled with your album design.

You get unlimited design revisions. But, it usually does not take very long for us to get it perfect. Most of our customers approve their wedding album design within an average of 2 to 3 revisions.  Remember, you are dealing with a designer who has been designing wedding albums for 10 years or more!
